Shawn Chattin

Head English Coach at Project Beisbol

After graduating with a degree in Applied Linguistics from Ohio University, Shawn has taught for 10+ years in a variety of contexts between the United States, Ecuador and, Colombia. He started his career working in Ecuadorian and Colombian primary schools before spending two years teaching Business English as a private contractor. During his 3 years in Boston, he focused mostly on exam preparation for potential international university students. As his physical school closed because of the pandemic, he began developing online teaching skills and techniques through private clients and the language learning app Hallo. Currently residing in Pittsburgh, Shawn is teaching online for the Colombian foundation Project Beisbol, bringing baseball equipment and English education to the most vulnerable populations in the country. He loves the opportunity Project Beisbol has given him to explore basing his ESL curriculum around a shared, central interest: baseball.
