Sarah Kalert

Director of Studies at International TEFL Academy

Sarah Kalert is the Director of Studies for the Academics division of International TEFL Academy. She received her M.A. in TESL/TEFL from Colorado State University and has worked in English for Academic Purpose, Academic English, and English as a Foreign Language both in the US and in Chile.

She has extensive experience in instructional design and curriculum architecture. Her passions in the field include ensuring trainees have engaging opportunities to learn and share both the pedagogical aspects but also the cultural-social aspects of becoming a worldwide citizen. At International TEFL Academy, Sarah is part of a dynamic team that changes the lives of over 6,000 students a year. 

* Schedule: Sarah will be presenting a breakout session titled “The World Turned Upside Down – The Shift from F2F to Online English Teaching” on Wednesday, March 3rd 12:00-1:00 pm MST.

Breakout Session Description: This session will address the new reality of English teaching opportunities for those in the TESOL community with the shift to online learning opportunities. It will cover the best practice updates to our Teaching English Online curriculum as well as our TEFL certificate to address the changing needs of trainees with respect to soliciting and landing jobs in the online teaching sphere. The session is designed to be interactive and uses many of the principles for engaging online class sessions. Come join the conversation!
