Dr. Lou Tolosa-Casadont

World Language Program Coordinator, University of Georgia

Dr. Lou Tolosa-Casadont started her Spanish teaching career in 1997 at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and in 1999 presented and wrote two articles on “technology,” which back then was about using and designing web pages as teaching tools. Since then, Lou and technology have both come a long way and since 2006 Lou has been actively involved in preparing in-service and pre-service language teachers for their invaluable careers as language educators.

She currently teaches graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Georgia and her main affiliation is with the Department of Language & Literacy Education. Five years ago, Lou helped start a dual language immersion program at one of the public schools, with the support of the local school district and the school’s administration.

As a scholar, Lou prefers to share her knowledge, experience, and findings at national and international conferences and she looks forward to sharing her in sights and experiences on Pivoting to Online Teaching. She looks forward to seeing everyone there!
