James Kim

Edtech Investor at Reach Capital

James is a Principal at Reach Capital, an early stage edtech venture capital firm that supports entrepreneurs developing technology solutions across the learning continuum. He serves on the boards of Paper and Riipen and actively supports FourthRev, Polygence, and Crash.

Previously, James served as an admissions officer, non-profit executive, and high school math teacher. James earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar; an MA in Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education; and a BS cum laude in Astrophysics from Yale University. In his spare time (which is limited as a new dad), he likes to powerlift, solve escape rooms, and play social deduction games.
