Henrick Oprea
Teaching and Learning Coordinator at School of the Nations

Henrick Oprea has been working in education since 1997. He has been actively involved in teacher training and professional development since 2003. He is currently working as teaching and learning coordinator at School of the Nations in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. He also works as the liaison for Brazil and Latin America for KIC UnivAssist, a company that specializes in enabling connections between students and universities in the USA.
He’s been a presenter and plenary speaker in national and international conferences. He’s also been a school owner, director of studies, high school principal and university lecturer at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His main areas of interest are leadership and management, teacher education, use of technology in education, and cognitive sciences. He is a former president of BRAZ-TESOL, the largest association for English teachers in Brazil. He holds a B.A. in English and literature from UnB and a postgraduate degree from the University of Birmingham. He has also authored a series of books for high school students.
